BRIEF REPORTS FROM GLOBAL POINTS

INDIA: MIZORAM

We are glad to know that 2,000 copies of Sensei (second edition) is off the press, and ready for sale. Pray that good book like Sensei will be read by many Mizo speaking people.

Mr. Lalhruaitluanga (Vala) from Mizoram wanted to know more about becoming MCGN member. Vala, thanks for your interest.

We were told by Ms. Sangpari Mualchin (Partei) that they found many spelling errors in the Old Testament portion of our Mizo Electronic-Bible. There is a lot of work on this problem. We will not release our E-Bible until they are corrected. We consider the accuracy of the Bible so highly that we will strive to produce a nearly perfect Mizo E-Bible. Pray that Rev. Lalsangliana, a pastor from Lawngtlai on assignemt in Aizawl, will be able to help in the project.

INDIA

Pastor Raja Sekhar for sharing his ministry and testimony. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28).

Pastor Sekhar came to know Lord Jesus Christ from a Hindu background. Later, his wife also came to accept Jesus and support his ministry. This is an encouraging story. If you are interested to know about Pastor Sekhar's ministry, we will forward to you his email.

MYANMAR (BURMA)

On the condition and needs of Christian children in Burma, we would like to know more information such as those who run childrens' home, the cost for helping a child, etc. We will try to find out such from trusted leaders in Mizoram. We will take actions only after we can be sure of the reliability of information on their condition and needs. Those interested to help these children, please contact MCGN at our email below.

USA

Lately, Liana is busier to prepare for a trip to Switzerland and to handle increased regular office work. As a result, MCGN Newsletter and other ministry work are slowing down. We do need your prayers!

Weekly teaching-articles from Frank Dietz, OM's Minister-at-large, are always insightful. We noted an especially great teaching on marriage. If anyone is interested, we will forward it to you.

Every time we get email from Rev. Harold Kurtz, it ends like this.
For every people: An indigenous Church
For every Church: A mission Vision.

We love the slogans!

INTRESTING NOTES FROM BRO. SAM GEORGE
If you are interested in any of the following, we will forward it to you. Let us know!

Christian Condition in Burma by Benedict Rogers:
A long and interesting report of the Christian condition in Burma.

Religious Census Data in India:
A very useful data for missiologists and those interested to know more of India.

Gladys Staines:
She is the widow of an Australian missionary in Orissa. A few years ago, her husband and their two young sons were burned alive in Orissa. Her husband is a doctor serving lepers and those in need. Gladys willingly forgave the killers. The power of forgiveness is remarkable. This story is unforgetable! The power of our God is not only healing the sick and saving the lost, but loving the enemies and even forgiving them as the Lord did to us. A long and interesting story.

Leadership Wired by Dr. John C. Maxwell:
A good reading. We note just one short meaningful point - “Think Big, Start Small”.

Mega Churches:
An article on very large churches.
