BRIEF REPORTS FROM GLOBAL POINTS

INDIA: MIZORAM

P.C. Lalrimawia (son of Dr P.C Biaksiama) is now working on correcting spelling errors of the Old Testament portion of our Mizo E-Bible project. We were told that he is doing well. Pray that he will finish the work soon. MCGN desires to produce the Mizo E-Bible soon. We already have a plan to make a study Bible taking advantage of the E-Bible.

Ms. Sangpari Mualchin (Partei) and Sapi (Wife of Dr. P. C. Biaksiama) started a regular women jail ministry, and it will be made official by jail authorities from December 2004. Partei and Sapi used to visit the women from time to time to distribute Bibles and Hymn Books informally. It is a great news for us that official visit to womens' section has been granted to us, that is, to Sapi and Partei.

Many women from Myanmar (Burma) are in Mizoram jails. If these women know the Lord, they will be good workers for the Lord and a great influence in their society when they return back home to Myanmar. That is the way we see, and we believe that this is the right way to transform people. God can change and use people for His purpose. Pray that the Lord will use Partei, Sapi, and friends.

MYANMAR (BURMA)

We are planing to work with churches in Southern Mizoram for Childrens' ministry and Bible distribution to Jail inmates. MCGN leaders in Mizoram will oversee the ministries.

A Mizo woman missionary, Ms. C. Vanlalhlupuii (Hlupuii) in Burma was drowned just recently. This unfortunate tragedy happened While in a mission trip with home-made boat along a treacherous river. We suspect that she was on her way to visit villagers in remote locations. Pray for peace of the Lord for her family in Mizoram and for the Church in finding another missionary to continue unfinished mission work Hlupuii left behind.

USA

Liana began to work hard on local and MCGN ministries without taking a break, just after he returned from Switzerland. Then, he was sick for two weeks, maybe due to over-work. God blessed his meetings in Europe and unexpectedly got an invitation to become the editor of seismology for International Geology journal. He felt like his hands are tied at his work here in California. God knows how and where to set His children free and for His glory. We are frustrated on Liana's work for a long time, now it is becoming exposed - to the US and European leaders.

We are way behind our work for MCGN. Newsletters are months behind but we know that God will bring back us on track, in His time.
