Bro. Frank Dietz for exhortatory articles.
·
Hilarius Costa for acknowledging our newsletters.
BRAZIL
Bro. Frank Dietz with Operation Mobilization (OM) faithfully sends us wonderful exhortatory articles, the most recent ones are on real world, real joy and good works. We are encouraged and
blessed by reading these articles. Frank and his wife (Anneli) have recently
moved from their home in California to Brazil for their ministry. They have a
global vision for reaching out and caring for the needy people. They are always
generous to MCGN in sharing ideas and doing what they can. May God bless and
continue to use them for His glory.
INDIA
Received newsletters from Dr. Chong Singsit and his wife, Rhoda, on their ministry in
Manipur. In their Vacation Bible School (VBS) last summer, 382 students from
Hindu backgrounds participated and 334 of them professed to receive Christ.
Praise the Lord!
Also, through a Meitei missionary (Purno Singh) and a Nepali evangelist (Ratan Kumar), sponsored by the Singsits, 16 people (including a Brahmin) came to the Lord. Thanks to Chong & Rhoda for sharing what God has done through His people in Manipur.
A student organization in Manipur, Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) requested us to contribute an article for their 50th anniversary magazine. Liana Mualchin accepted the request and pray that it will be done before our Mizoram trip.INDIA: MIZORAM, AIZAWL
MCGN leaders in Mizoram are arranging various needs for our trip. We are in contact
with them via telephone and emails. We will need a place to stay in Aizawl,
Lawngtlai, Saiha, and Lunglei.
Jail ministry scheduling in Aizawl and Saiha have been taken care of according to MCGN-Chhimtuipui coordinator (Zira). Thanks to Pu Rodinga for opening the door for Ngeni Mualchin to visit the Central Jail in Aizawl and Pu Sawichhunga for the jail in Saiha. Ngeni also desires and hopes to visit the jail in Lunglei.
Dr. P. C. Biaksiama, MCGN-Mizoram coordinator, continues to provide as much support as he can. We have discussed with him details of proposed projects in Mizoram. In particular, the Christian Foundation needs much thought and prayer. It is envisioned to equip and encourage Christians by providing a facility to conduct various activities such as workshops and seminars that are open to all churches and Christian organizations. It will also house a library with biblical and other useful materials for the public. We desire this Foundation facility to produce biblically sound strategic plans and direction of Christian missions, including the promotion of creation science and cross-cultural evangelistic methods. We believe that there must be a conviction of this need and a strong desire to do this from Mizoram in order to move forward. Pray that we will see such partners there.Bro. Sangchia sensed the Lord's call to share the Good News in the states of Tamil Nadu, Orissa, and Andhra Pradesh. He is going with faith that God will provide his needs. Pray that the Lord equips and continues to use Bro. Sangchia for His glory. He reported that his preaching in West Bengal, from November 2001 to March 2002, was blessed with about 14,000 people receiving Christ. If you desire to provide for his financial needs in support of the ministry, contact MCGN.
INDIA: PUNE
We received a request from the Mizo Students' Union (MSU), Pune, to contribute an
article for their annual magazine. As we are in the midst of planning and
preparing for a Mizoram trip and already committed to write for an earlier
request from Manipur, we do not have the time to prepare another article. We
ask for their understanding.
INDIA: SERAMPORE
Rev. Dr. Lalchungnunga, Principal of Serampore College (founded by a great
missionary, William Carey), expressed his desire to meet us on our way to
Mizoram. Despite our full schedule, we hope to meet him. God has placed Bro.
Lalchungnunga with a very strategic position for training Christian leaders.
The college is rather significant in that both biblical and secular subjects
are being taught and thus a significant number of students are non-Christians.
Pray that these students see and come to the Lord Jesus Christ and that the
college is faithful to its Christian mission.
INDIA: NEW DELHI
Dr. Chinkholal Thangsing (Lala) wrote to us from Sydney, Australia as he was
attending both the Asia-Pacific NeuroAids Consortium seminar and Australian
Society for HIV Medicine conference. By now, he might be back in India
continuing his work among HIV and/or AIDS patients. Not many have compassion
for these patients, but Bro. Lala heard the call of the Lord. May God bless him
in his service.
JAPAN
Pu Lalhruaia (Hruaia), MCGN-Japan coordinator, informed us new emails of some
members and the visit to USA by MCGN-Japan secretary, Rev. Joseph Raltong. Also, they are interested to know more about
the proposed Christian Foundation and we responded. We are encouraged by their
interest and count on their support as we move forward.
Rev. Joseph Raltong contacted us during his recent visit to USA for training. We had a wonderful time of sharing in the Lord. We encouraged one another to act in a righteous and godly way. We appreciate his thoughts for our ministry. Also, he was invited to minister to Myanmarese Christian immigrants in USA during his visit.
NEPAL
Missionary Lalringa (Ringa) Pachuau wrote a thoughtful email on the proposed
Christian Foundation (center) project in Mizoram. We recognize that this
proposal needs extensive discussion among supporters when we go to Mizoram.
Missionary Lallura (Lura) is going to have Discipleship Training starting Nov.11. Pray that it will be fruitful. Recall that not long ago, Mr. Govinda came to accept Christ as a result of the ministry of Lura and Sangtei and came to live with them. Now, he has decided to return to his family mainly to witness Jesus to his parents. Pray that the Lord will protect and guide him in this situation.
USA: HEADQUARTERS
We want to give our very best for the Lord's Kingdom in preparing for our trip to
Mizoram. At the same time, we have been facing many difficulties. We are aware
that Satan works hard to discourage or even stop us to do our best. In the
midst of these, we see the mighty power of God working for us. If Christ is on
our side who can be against us? Praise God!
Lisa R. Mualchin (daughter of Liana and Ngeni Mualchin) has decided to do volunteer work for about three months at hospitals in Mizoram, and so she will be going with us. She is a life member of MCGN. She is a recent graduate of University of California, Davis and is applying for admission into a medical college.
USA: MARYLAND
John Clyde comunicated to us his thoughts on some Mizos abusing visa priviledges to
visit USA. The concern is that such misuse can and will cause problems for
other Mizos for legitimate visits to USA. We certainly share John's view. We
hope that such people will not be encouraged or supported in the future.
USA: FLORIDA
Christian-worker couple, Peter and Barby Ward, wrote to us expressing their concern about
today's marriages. For this important subject, they recommended a book,
"The Marriage Masterpiece" by Al Janssen.

Pray that Christian workers and missionaries will have the same vision
and spirit of unity for the Lord's Kingdom building.

Mizoram convicted about the need of establishing the Foundation and making full
commitment to do the project.
