"The harvest is truly plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Mt. 9:37-38)

THANKS

CONDOLENCE & RECOGNITION

Pu S. Rina, Executive Director of MCGN passed away last month in Aizawl, Mizoram. It is a great loss for MCGN. Pray for his beloved family he left behind.

Pu Rina was a news-reporter and was also recently elected Presdient of the newly established Cancer Society. Within a few months as Executive Director of MCGN, he did significant things for the ministry in Mizoram. He offered himself not for the position or recognition, but to serve the Lord. We will never forget his courage and boldness in undertaking the long overdue MCGN-Mizoram HQ leadership election and the way he served the Lord.

BRIEF REPORTS FROM MCGN GLOBAL POINTS

For the next three months we will be very busy for organizing and preparing various aspects of Mizo leadership training here in California. Therefore, we will not be able to mention all reports received from our global points during this period; we will be limited to more important items.

JAPAN

In their recent meeting, they decided to help a school in Tripura,India. They sent some money to the International HQ from membership fees. We are truly thankful for their faithful support.

INDIA: DELHI

Dr. Lala will be visiting USA and is expected in Placerville, California in late September. He will be at the "Honored Guest Dinner" by To Serve organization. He will be staying with the Mualchins. He will also visit Children Hospital in Oakland, California.

INDIA: MIZORAM

Exciting news of revivals have been received and the grace of the Lord is pouring there with healing ministry. Pray that lives will be transformed by the Holy Spirit for righteous living.

Discipleship Training Institute Founder and Revival Speaker, Pu R. Vanlalzauva is coming to participate in the Mizo Leadership Training. He is expected to stay a few extra days for consultation with MCGN International HQ for future co-operative ministry projects. He was also requested to recommend persons for MCGN Executive Director who are of like-minded spirit.

Many good things have happened lately in Mizoram. We have new members from Southern Mizoram, selected Mizo leaders are preparing to come to USA for the leadership training. As we move on, Satan is also working hard against the life of some members and leaders. Here, we should never forget the truth that: He who is in us is stronger than he who is in the world. Our God Reigns!

NEPAL

We received good news about what the Lord has through the ministries of Pu Lura & Pi Sangtei, Pu Hriata & Pi Sangi. Lura & Sangtei are having another Disipleship Training which is in progress now. Hriata & Sangi just got back from their USA trip where they shared their ministry in Nepal. It was a blessing to churches they visited.

Pu Ringa faithfully wrote to us regularly about news from Nepal for which we are thankful. We are keenly aware of their mission works and MCGN is encouraged by their willingness to do what they can.

After initiating and developing MARC, Pu Liana recently submitted his resignation letter.

A meeting was held on Aug 11, 2001, and the following is modified from a note prepared by Patricia Macy.

1. Tim Mualchin:

Tim shared his experience with Campus Crusade for Christ in Hawaii this summer. He was chosen to be one of the leaders for the group. Each person was expected to get a job to help pay for his stay, and Tim was fortunate to secure a good job that involved food so that part of his expenses was taken care of. The groups studied the Bible and carried Jesus’ message of hope to the streets. Ngeni and Liana are proud of their son who attends the University of California at Davis. Tim is convinced God brought him through a serious car accident a few months ago for a purpose. We believe God will use Tim’s leadership qualities for His kingdom work.

2. S. Rina:

The sad details of MCGN Executive Director Pu S. Rina’s sudden death was given to the group by Liana. Mualchin after which was a moment of silence to honor Pu Rina. He had accomplished much during his brief time as our Executive Director. Under his leadership, many new members joined MCGN.

3. Mizo Leadership Training:

Pu Liana and Pi Ngeni Mualchin conferred with Pastor Bruce Moore and Sandi Alexander of the Liberty Christian Center in Fairfield on August 6th to write invitational letters to Mizoram leadesr. These will be used to secure visas for the trip USA. Dr. Mualchin has a list of potential Mizo participants. Prospective speakers are: Lanny Langston, Director of Golden Sierra Job Training Agency—One Stop Career Center, Placerville, California; H. Kurtz , retired missionary leader, Portand, Oregon; Nanci Glogauer, Executive Director of Parasol, Incline Village, Nevada; Dr. May Beth Haines, Counsellor, Portland, Oregon; and pastoral staff of Federated Church, Placerville, California and Church of the Foothills, Cameron Park, California.

Mualchins family and Patricia Macy will supply housing for the group during the first and third week. Liana Mualchin and Phyllis Campbell will provide local transportation in Placerville. A potluck dinner and sharing-farewell party for the visitors is also planned. Pastor Moore will arrange for the housing and provide local transportation during the second week when the group will be in training at Liberty Christian Center.

4. Juliet Florio Scholarship:

Phyllis Campbell drafted letters to be sent to students chosen for scholarship, to the headmasters of each school, and to MCGN-Mizoram. A list of the selected students will be provided to scholarship donors.

5. Electronic Mizo Bible Project:

The members present were in unanimous agreement to send $250 for the work that will complete the project for the electronic Bible.

6. New Memberships:

Pastor Rualchhina sent good news that three students in Maryland and New York have become members of MCGN. Liana will welcome them.

7. Oregon Visit to David Hitt:

Liana and Ngeni Mualchin had a wonderful and rewarding visit with David Hitt. Liana has sent David Hitt MCGN literature and the Mizoram video.

8. Government Report:

The bi-annual government report will be submitted next month with the required $10.

9. Transformation Video by Sentinel:

The group sat transfixed before this video for an hour watching the mighty hand of God work through intercessors to pull down the stronghold of spiritual darkness in four different communities around the world.

  1. The stranglehold of ten drug lords over Cali, Columbia was so complete no one dared be on the street after dark. Eight out of ten drug kings were put out of business when thousands gathered to pray for their city. (Nathing is imposible with God)

  2. In another South American city of Almonloyo in Guetamala, drunkenness, fightings, and overcrowded jails immobilized the community until release came through God's healing power. Even the land was released from its dry, unproductive bondage to bring forth carrots as big around as an arm. He is the source of all blessings!

  3. In an African village in Kenya the dark power of evil spirits immobilized the whole area until release came through the intercessory prayers of many who had been encouraged by a pastor and his wife. A break came when they located a powerful woman with evil spirit who controlled the city. The Christians confronted and forced her away from the city which became peaceful and full of joy and growth in the churches. (Our God's reign)

  4. Beautiful Hemet valley in California was controlled by the spirits of darkness until churches came together to intercede for their land and their people and break the bondage of Satan. God spoke to the pastor telling him this was where he was needed. To prove his commitment to God, the pastor bought his burial plot in that village before mobilizing intercessors to fight the spiritual battle. Gangs which were in operation for generations were broken and people came to Christ on their way to commit murder! The transformation was truly miracle. (He who is in us is strongger than he who is in the world)

One of the common strategies in all these four communities is God's people across denomination lines pray and work together in unity to fight against the devil and his power. God honors their hearts' desires, and visited them with a mightly power of deliverance and victory. We recommend highly for all Christians to view this powerful video that even the worst communities can be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord....

We will purchase the above video (Transformation) and also the second video (Transformation II) in PAL for MCGN-Mizoram and MCGN-Nepal.
