MIZO CHRISTIAN GLOBAL NETWORK

MCGN is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization promoting spiritual and economic development of the people in Mizoram and the surrounding region by serving them as Jesus did (Mt. 20:28).

THANKS TO:

·         Our Lord for His faithfulness and unfailing love. He is still on the throne. Through it all, in the midst of all kinds of problems, we can feel his steadfast and continual presence in our life.

·         Nancy Egloff for her invaluable help with last minute income tax forms for the Mualchin family. God sent a true Christian friend who is willing to help them. God bless Nancy!

·         Mr. Sangchia for his encouraging report on his ministry.

BRIEF REPORTS AND COMMENTS FROM MCGN GLOBAL POINTS:

INDIA:CALCUTTA

Ramfangzauva, MCGN-Calcutta President, is seeking someone to take his place, as he has become involved in many other activities. This is a good example of a leader who honestly acknowledges his inability to carry on the responsibilities for whatever reason: no time, no interest, too many other activities, etc.  In such a situation, one should be willing to hand over the position to others who are willing to accept the responsibility.  We commend Ramfangzauva for his honesty, and we appreciate his service to MCGN-Calcutta.

INDIA:DELHI

We received an email from Lima Jamir Felix expressing his desire to work with MCGN. He is interested in working on various social problems, which are not currently the focus of MCGN. Even so, we will keep his talents in mind should future opportunities open for him to serve.

INDIA: MIZORAM

Rina Sailo, MCGN Executive Director, is working on many important issues such as how to receive money from the USA and organizing an MCGN-Mizoram leadership election.

Ministry of Mr. Sangchia

Mr. Sangchia is an MCGN member living in Aizawl.  He is a prominent businessman with many other God-given talents that he uses to further the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

During a 1999 evangelist outreach in West Bengal in which Mr. Sangchia was principal speaker, over 5400 Hindus were baptized.  He will again take the message of Christ to West Bengal in 2002.

Mr. Sangchia is also active in a healing ministry in his church.  All those involved in this ministry give 24-hour attention to healing addictions and afflictions through natural means such as diet, steam baths and massage.  This has been a highly successful ministry.

JAPAN:

Hruaia, MCGN-Japan Coordinator, received information that the Rihkhawdar Boys Hostel is in need of funding for their roof. Please contact Hruaia if you can help.

Also, Hruaia is providing whatever support he can to Ronald Adhikari for Ron's visit to Japan. Pray that they will have a blessed meeting on April 30 which is an off day from work for Hruaia.

NEPAL:

Ringa, MCGN-Nepal Chairman, introduced the special program "Operation Northeast (India)" 40 days (May 1-June 9, 2001) fasting and prayer proposed by Rev. P.C.Muanthanga who is burdened for various problems facing North East India and desires to mobilize Christians to seek the Lord on this matter by referring to examples in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Interested readers may contact Muanthanga at his mailing address: Northeast India Prayer Network, Moia Cottage, Lachumiere, Shillong 793 001, Meghalaya, India, or email: muana@dte.vsnl.net.in.

Lura, MCGN-Nepal (Pokhara), reported on his recent encouraging trip beyond the Himalayas where he organized Discipleship Training for seven families. He and Sangtei will organize another training session from May 7 to June 2.  Also, Lura sent Robert Wood detailed information about the Mustang region of Nepal where Lura and Sangte are ministering. The information is especially useful for making preparations to visit Nepal.

THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH and THE SPIRIT OF ERROR

(Continued from the previous Newsletter)

What God has said about the HOLY SPIRIT and what men are now saying.

WORD OF GOD

When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, … he will testify of me. (John 15:26)

The Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, … he shall teach you all things. (John 14:26)

But ye are not in the flesh but the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9)

JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES

The holy spirit is the invisible active force of Almighty God which moves his servants to do his will. (LG, p. 108)

MORMONISM

The Holy Ghost is “a personage of Spirit.”  He does not have a body of flesh and bones, like the Father and the Son. (DC, 130:20)

He is “the influence of deity, the light of Christ, or of Truth.” (Smith, GD, p. 60)

He “can only be in one place at one time” although he “emanates from Deity” like “electricity, or the universal ether … which fills the earth and the air, and is everywhere present.” (McConkie, MD pp. 359, 753)

UNITY

Definition:  The very spirit of truth lying latent within us, each and every one. (Unity Magazine, February 1918)

The Father is Principle, the Son is that Principle revealed in the creative plan, the Holy Spirit is the executive power of both the Father and Son, carrying out the plan. (MBD, p. 629)

Spirit is substance … that invisible, intangible but real something which as its indestructible core and cause stands under, or at the center of, every visible thing in existence. (Cade, God a Present Help, pp. 53-54)

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Holy Ghost is Divine Science; the development of eternal Life, Truth, and Love. (SH, 588:78)

In the words of St. John:  “He shall give you another Comforter….”  This Comforter I understand to be Divine Science. (SH, 55:27-29)

The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, (that is) Divine Science, the Word of God, saith to the darkness upon the face of error, “God is All in all.” (SH, 503:8-14)

Next month we will trace what God says about SIN and what man is now saying.

“The harvest is truly plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest”

(Mt. 9:37-38).
